Often hailed at the "Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada", Squamish is siutated at the tip of Howe Sound, in the heart of the Sea to Sky corridor. Squamish is widely known for its' many outdoor activities, including mountain biking, windsurfing, and rock climbing.

As a growing communty, Squamish is undergoing significant change and development in the downtown area and surrounding neighborhoods. There are a number of large developments in the planning stages, including the Squamish Oceanfront Development Corporation and the highly anticipated Sea to Sky Gondola that will enable anyone to ascend to the top of the Stawamus Chief to take in the breathtaking views.
